CRPF donates computers, equipment to city schools

Srinagar, Mar 31: Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today said several of its battalions donated computers, furniture and other infrastructural equipments in various schools here.
A CRPF spokesman said three Battalions of CRPF donated computers, peripheral devices, furniture and other infrastructural equipments to various schools of Srinagar.
“The 73 Battalion and 35 Battalion donated these equipments to Government High School in Garipora area of Bemina and Government Girls Secondary School Humhama respectively, to support school administrations towards development of a modern computer for their students,” he said.
In another Civic Action Programme, newly constructed Badminton Court and Toilet Block (Sanitation Facilities) were handed over to Government Boys High School Chhatabal by 49 Battalion, the CRPF spokesman said.
“By providing such kind of Infrastructural support to schools through civic action programmes, the CRPF is constantly trying to promote the standard of computer literacy among Kashmiri students. Besides, CRPF is also constructing Badminton and Basketball courts, sanitation facilities and other related infrastructure for these schools,” the spokesman added.
