CRPF establishments celebrate Valour Day

JAMMU, Apr 10: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu region celebrated “Valour Day” with great enthusiasm and fervor.
The occasion was graced by Mahesh Chandra Laddha, IGP Jammu Sector, who visited Quarter Guard and was saluted by the Guard.
A Medal Awarding/Investiture Ceremony was also organized, where Nalin Prabhat, SDG J&K Zone, was the chief guest.
During the event, Manoj Dyani, DIG Jammu Sector, gave a welcome speech, and a brief documentary on Sardar Post was shown.
The chief guest awarded 18 Police Medal for Meritorious Service, 01 DG‘s Disc and Commendation Certificate, and the Best (Adm) BN Trophy of Jammu sector for the year 2021-22 to 06 BN CRPF.
Nalin Prabhat, SDG, J&K Zone, congratulated the Officer/Subordinate officer and personnel present in the function and described the Shaurya Gatha of CRPF.
He narrated the valiant act of the CRPF soldiers who foiled the planned attack of Pakistan’s Infantry Brigade in “Sardar” and “Tak Post” in Gujrat’s “Ran of Kutch” on 9th April 1965.
Martyr CT/GD Ram Singh Slathia of District Samba, Jammu region, was also honored on the occasion of Valour Day. Wreaths were laid on his statue in his hometown in the presence of his parents and dignitaries of the village.
An essay and painting competition was also organized among the students of KV Bantalab, and the winners were awarded prizes. A Volleyball Match and a cultural program followed by Bada Khana were also organized in the GC Campus.
