BHADERWAH, June 20: Continuing with pan India initiative of remembering the supreme sacrifice of their Jawans, 33 Battalion CRPF today paid rich tribute to martyr of the Force and felicitated his parents at Battalion Headquarters Sarna in Bhaderwah.
Second in Command of 33rd Bn CRPF, Harish Mehra along with other officers and PRI members of the area, felicitated the parents of martyred Jawan Tariq Hussain of Doda district, who attained martyrdom while fighting Naxals in Dantwara district of Chhattisgarh in 2009 at the age of 25.
After lighting the traditional lamp, family members of the martyred Jawan were presented shawls and mementoes as a mark of respect for Tariq Hussain who rendered supreme sacrifice for his motherland.
Later on cedar saplings were also planted in his memory.
Father of Veer Jawans, Mohd Hussain, a retired teacher expressed gratitude to the government and CRPF for remembering sacrifice of his only son on such a large scale every year.
