CRPF flags off 15 students on ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour

JAMMU, Jan 28: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 76 Battalion, Channi Himmat, Jammu today flagged off 15 children from far flung areas of Doda district on ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour.
The tour was flagged off in an impressive ceremony organized in the Battalion by Neeraj Kumar Pandey, Commandant, 76 Battalion, CRPF in the presence of other senior officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant said the tour is being organized under Civic Action Programme of the CRPF. He said during the tour, the students will visit famous tourism spots and historical places of Delhi and Bhuvneshwar in Orissa so as to aware them of art and culture of the people living there. He said during the tour, the children will also get opportunity to meet prominent political and social personalities.
The commandant further informed that the distance from Jammu to Delhi will be covered by train and from Delhi to Bhuvneshwar by air. He said that all the touring students have been provided free of cost kits comprising track suit, t-shirts, shoes, socks, caps and bags by the Battalion.
2nd Commandants of the Battalion– Kamal Sisodia and Devanand, Deputy Commandants-Satyavir Singh and SS Somvanshi, and other officers and officials of the Battalion were also present on the occasion.
