CRPF jawan attempts suicide

JAMMU, June 26: A CRPF jawan attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle AK-47 at the CRPF camp in Katra today.
Identified as Surinder Singh, son of Avtar Singh, a Constable in 6th Battalion of CRPF, he has been admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital and his condition was stated to be serious.
Reports said that Surinder Singh shot himself while on duty around 2 p.m. He sustained bullet injury in his abdomen and was rushed to hospital by the colleagues.
