JAMMU, July 14: A CRPF jawan died of alleged gunshot from his service rifle in Civil Secretariat, here today.
Police sources said that the Jawan, who was identified as constable P Ram Kumar, 33, son of R Plano Swami, a resident of village Kasim Vyal, Nilgris, Tamil Nadu, died this evening due to alleged gunshot from his service rifle INSAS. They said whether it is a suicide or accident, is a matter of investigation.
“The dead body was shifted to the mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC were investigation by police station City,” they added.
