SRINAGAR, July 29: A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was shot dead by militants this evening in Pulwama village of South Kashmir.
Sources said that three militants barged into the house of a local CRPF man, Naseer Ahmad Rather at Naira village. He had a scuffle with the militants before he was fired at. Militants fled from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama in critical conditions where he was declared as brought dead. Naseer is posted at CRPF 182nd battalion in Pulwama and was on leave.
Massive operation was launched by the security forces in the area against the militants responsible for the attack.
