RAJOURI, May 4: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Inspector died after he slipped from a mountain in Kalidhar area of Sunderbani sector today.
Official sources said that Inspector Sunil Kumar was posted at Sodra camp of CRPF. He was posted in Sunderbani after the terrorist attack in Dhangri. He used to go out for search operations with the J&K Police party in Sunderbani and its surrounding areas in a Gypsy.
Today morning, Insp Sunil along with the local police party was on a search operation at Bindi Ladya in Upper Bhajwal area of Kalidhar in Sunderbani Sub Division. During searches at the top of the Eagle point hill, he slipped into a 2000 feet deep gorge and died on the spot.
Sunil Kumar, hailing from Bihar was posted in 122nd Battalion of CRPF. With the help of locals and police his body was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sunderbani. After completing the legal process today, his body will be sent to his native village by air tomorrow morning.
