CRPF organises educational tour under Civic Action Programme

JAMMU, Jan 16: The 06 Bn CRPF, deployed for security of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra, organised an educational excursion “Bharat Dharsan” under Civic Action Programme from 3rd to 14th of January, 2016, for a group of 43 students and 3 teachers belonging to remotest village Kanjli.
During the tour, the students visited various sites of national, historical and cultural importance besides meeting senior officials and dignitaries. Besides, the students and teachers toured Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and stayed at CRPF camps at Jalandar, Delhi, Mathura, Agra and Jaipur respectively.
The tour provided an opportunity to the students and teachers as well to meet and interact with  Dr. Jitender Singh, Minister of State, PMO, Kiren Rijuju, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Prakash Mishra, DG CRPF.
Apart from meeting dignitaries and senior officials, the students and teachers had an opportunity of sightseeing and visiting various sites of national and historical importance like Rashtrapati Bhawan at New Delhi, Parliament House, Cgo Complex Lodhi Road, India Gate, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Akshardham Mandir, Lotus Temple, Kingdom of Dreams, Lord Krishna’s birthplace at Mathura, Masjid, Raghunath Mandir, Prem Mandir, Agra Fort At Agra, Tajmahal, Fatehpur Sikri, Hawamahal at Jaipur, Jantar- Mantar, Amer Fort, Albert Hall,Birla Mandir, etc.
The tour was flagged off, earlier, by Dr. M. K. Kumar, Addl CEO SMVDSB, Katra.
On completion of tour, the students and staff were received by Sunil Kumar, Commandant 06 Bn CRPF at Bn Headquarters, Yogashram Katra.
Following the reception, the students had interaction with senior officials M. C. Panwar, DIG, CRPF, Kootah, Sunil Kumar, Commandant 06 Bn CRPF,  Surjit Kumar, SSP Reasi, and other officials of battalion.
