UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: 137 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force organized Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan program, here today at SIKS Government Model Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur.
Manoj Kumar Sicon Commandant-137 Battalion presided over the event while MLA Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta was the chief guest. They flagged off the campaign in the presence of Amod Ashok Nagpure, SSP Udhampur; Sandeep Bhatt, ASP, Udhampur; Professor (Padmashree) Shiv Nirmohi, Dr Yogeshwar Gupta (former President, MCU), Udhampur; Narayan Sure, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur; Manoj Kumar Jad, Principal, SIKS Government Model Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur, and Kartar Singh, Second Command Officer, 137 Battalion and Raju Lal Meena, Deputy Commandant, 137 Battalion.
The main objective of this campaign was to make India a drug-free country. A number of youth participated in the campaign and pledged together under the Drug-Free India campaign that not only the community, family, friends, but they will also make themselves drug-free because the change should start from oneself. They resolved to make their district and state drug-free and pledged that they will make every possible effort to make their country drug-free as per their capabilities.
After this program, Commandant-137 Battalion, CRPF, while explaining the importance of this program, also thanked all the dignitaries and the participants for success of the program.
