JAMMU, July 26: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has taken various measures for the security of ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
On one hand, CRPF is ensuring security of various yatri camps, yatra routes and other important places with the presence of its troops and on the other hand, it has augmented the security with the implementation of various techniques.
In this context, the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) mechanism is proving to be very effective. Based on a special technique, this arrangement keeps watch on the movement of yatra vehicles. Due to this technique, troops deployed for security are able to know about the location of vehicles, thereby, resultantly ensuring their security. In case of any contingency, immediate relief can be providing to pilgrims.
In case any vehicle deviates from the yatra route, information regarding it can be given to control room/yatri concerned, on the mobile numbers provided by yatris and they can further be guided to the right route. RFID Locators installed at various locations en-route are integral parts of the arrangement. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system established by CRPF en-route is an appreciable method to record the details of yatra vehicles without causing them any obstruction. Summarily, besides its physical presence, CRPF is using various techniques and is committed towards the secure and uninterrupted yatra.
