RAMBAN, Feb 16: The two day inspection by Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) on new Sangaldan-Sumbar-Khari Railway Stations between Katra and Banihal section of USBRL project concluded here this evening.
Official sources said the CRS and his team conducted the first high-speed train trial run on Sangaldan-Sumbar and Khari rail line between the Katra and Banihal section of USBRL project today.
They said: “A high-speed train ran for trial on Sangaldan-Sumbar-Khari rail line and before it started the Commissioner of Railway Safety, Dinesh Chand Deshwal checked the track, traction, telecom, signaling, platforms and Railway Station infrastructure at Khari, Sumbar and Sangaldan stations.
Later on Deshwal and other railway officers returned to Srinagar.
Sources informed that Sangaldan to Banihal section of USBRL project is likely to be made operation after CRS submits his inspection report to the government on his arrival to New Delhi likely on Saturday.
