NEW DELHI, June 6: Crude oil rose 0.68 per cent to Rs 4,432 per barrel in futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from the global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 30 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 4,432 per barrel in a business turnover of 92 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 27 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 4,419 per barrel in 1,078 lots.
Analysts said speculators built fresh positions after US oil edged up in early Asian trade today to move away from lows hit in the previous session, after industry data showed a decline in US crude inventories.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 32 cents, or 0.49 per cent to USD 65.84 while Brent crude rose 29 cents, or 0.38 per cent to USD 75.67 per barrel. (PTI)
