NEW DELHI, Mar 12: Crude oil futures fell 0.82 per cent to Rs 6,084 per barrel today as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in Asian trade ahead of the weekly US stockpiles report.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in March shed Rs 50, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 6,084 per barrel in 1,857 lots.
In a likewise manner, oil for April delivery moved down by Rs 49, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 6,099 per barrel in 180 lots.
The trading sentiment eased at futures trade as crude oil prices fell in Asian trade ahead of the weekly US stockpiles report that will give an indication of demand in the world’s biggest economy, analysts said.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for April delivery dipped 47 cents to USD 99.56 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange in morning trade today. (AGENCIES)
