NEW DELHI, Aug 11: Crude palm oil prices fell 0.42 per cent to Rs 497.20 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators offloaded positions amidst subdued demand in the spot markets against sufficient supplies.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September fell by Rs 2.10, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 497.20 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 22 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August traded lower by Rs 2.10, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 510.50 per 10 kg in 48 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to subdued demand in the spot markets against adequate supplies led to a fall in crude palm oil futures. (PTI)
