Crude palm oil futures higher on spot demand

NEW DELHI, May 18:  Crude palm oil rose by Rs 1.40 to Rs 452.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on strong spot demand amid a firming trend in the Asian region.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in June rose by Rs 1.40, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 452.10 per 10 kg with a trading volume of 216 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in May rose by Rs 1.20, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 450.90 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 168 lots.
Analysts said firming trends in both global and spot markets supported the upside in crude palm oil futures prices here. (PTI)
