JAMMU, Nov 8: In the direction of qualitative public service delivery of e-services in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta launched the e-Services Quality Assessment Application (AQS) today at the Civil Secretariat.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary emphasized that the e-Services Quality Assessment Application (AQS) represents a substantial advancement in the Government’s efforts to enhance the quality and effectiveness of e-services offered to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Mehta highlighted that AQS’s real-time feedback mechanisms and its ability to provide a comprehensive assessment of all 1075 e-services underscore the Government’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality digital services to its constituents. This initiative serves as a testament to the Government’s dedication to improving the citizen experience and ensuring transparency in governance.
Commissioner Secretary IT, Prerna Puri, informed that the AQS project is an indigenous initiative that empowers users to provide instant feedback through a mobile app dashboard, enabling them to contribute to the ongoing assessment and improvement of e-services.
It aims to provide real-time feedback and quality assurance for all 1075 e-services offered by the Government of UT of J&K, a significant expansion over the 470 services available through the RAS. Additionally, the mobile app reflects citizens’ feedback, offering valuable insights into the quality of e-services. It provides a holistic overview of the performance of various Government departments involved in e-governance, added Commissioner/ Secretary IT.
This innovative platform, developed by a team led by Taransh Sudan, Mir Suhail Ahmed and others under the supervision of the Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA),was declared as winner of e-services quality assessment software development challenge. During the event, a jingle was also launched to promote disseminating information about the Janbhagedari portal among citizens.
Among others, the inauguration was also attended by Commissioner Secretary, GAD, Sanjeev Verma; CEO of JaKeGA, Anuradha Gupta; State Informatics Officer (SIO), Saleem Khan; and other senior officers.
Meanwhile, to review the ongoing B2V5 programme, Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, today held an interaction with visiting Prabhari Officers from three districts of Shopian, Sopore and Kathua.
Taking note of the lack of information on Government schemes among some of the Prabhari officers, Chief Secretary impressed upon the General Administration Department, Divisional Commissioners of both provinces and Deputy Commissioners of all districts to hold orientation drives for the visiting officers to apprise them of the 137 actionable deliverables which are under review during this phase of the outreach programme.
Dr. Mehta directed all line departments to ensure the presence of their field functionaries in the ongoing Panchayat-level reviews of their schemes by the visiting officers. They were also asked to extend their full support and coordination in early resolution demands being raised during B2V5 meetings.
Chief Secretary emphasized the need for increased engagement among all stakeholders, including Prabhari officers, PRIs, divisional and district administrations, and all line departments, to ensure that the fifth phase of the Back to Village program (B2V5) is more successful than the previous phases.
He reiterated the focus areas under B2V5, including Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Mission Youth, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Amrit Sarovar, Swachh Bharat Mission, self-employment schemes, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Saman, Kisan Credit Card, PM PRANAM, Nasha Mukt J&K, and various e-initiatives like Janbhagidari and services like quality school education, free healthcare through golden cards etc.
