CS reviews facilities in estates colonies

JAMMU, Nov 9: Chief Secretary, B. R. Sharma today reviewed the facilities being extended to the employees in the estates colonies in winter capital Jammu in a meeting.
Chief Secretary received brief on the overall status in the estates colonies with respect to the availability of water, electricity, garbage containers, parking lots besides security arrangements.
To allay the concerns regarding water supply in some of the main estates colonies, Chief Secretary asked Chief Engineer, PHE to explore the feasibility of meeting water requirements by agumentation through bore wells on pilot basis.
“Water, electricity, sanitation and proper security arrangements should be ensured in all estates colonies”, Mr Sharma stressed. He also asked Director Estates and Floriculture Department to ensure sprucing up of parks and lawns in the premises of estates colonies.
