SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, today reviewed the preparations underway to roll out the new administrative units and dedicate these to the people of the State at the earliest.
Weekly review meetings are being held by the Chief Secretary with the concerned Administrative Secretaries to put in place all the necessary infrastructure alongwith deployment and adjustment of functionaries to make these units fully operational.
Mr Khandey stressed on necessary coordination among concerned departments to streamline the whole process, besides asking the concerned secretaries to provide status reports in this regard on a weekly basis.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Planning and Development, B. R. Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance, B. B. Vyas, Administrative Secretaries from Revenue, R&B, Rural Development, General Administration Department, Information Technology besides Divisional Commissioners Kashmir and Jammu and other senior officers.
