CS takes stock of arrangements for opening of offices

Jammu, Nov 8: Chief Secretary, B. R. Sharma today visited Civil Secretariat Complex and took stock of the preparations made for the opening of offices in the winter capital from tomorrow.
Accompanied by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B B Vyas ,Secretary to Chief Minister M.H Malik, Director Estates, Dr. G.N Itoo, Deputy Director Estates Jammu Satish Sharma and other senior officers, the Chief Secretary also visited the Government quarters and inspected the renovation work and other arrangements made for the comfortable stay of the move employees.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary took a round of the Civil Secretariat Complex and inspected the provision of furniture and other facilities put in place at the offices of various departments. He also inspected the renovation and other works taken up at the complex.
The Chief Secretary asked the concerned officers to ensure proper functioning of computers, internet and other facilities to ensure proper functioning of the various offices of the Secretariat. He also directed the concerned officers for ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply to each block, besides proper cleanliness in the premises of the Civil Secretariat.
Later, Chief Secretary accompanied by the officers visited Ahata Poonch House Panjtirthi, Tange Wali Gali Kacchi Chawni, Company Bagh Jewel Chowk and BC Road Quarters and took stock of the arrangements. The Chief Secretary directed the concerned officers of Estates Department to ensure proper power and water supply besides sanitation in and around all the Government quarter complexes allotted to the move employees.
