JAMMU, May 8: Scores of CSC vendors held a protest outside the office of Deputy Commissioner, here today demanding release of their pending payment.
A few CSC vendors drawn from outskirts of Jammu today assembled outside DC office Jammu to register their protest against delaying tactics adopted by district administration in releasing their pending payment amounting to about Rs 12 lakh.
They raised slogans against the DC and ADC Jammu while alleging that both of them are misguiding them on payment of their pending dues. “For last many months, we are making rounds of DC office for release of our pending payment but every time we come, we are told to come after one or two week while stating that their payment has not been released by the Shrine Board,” they added.
The protesting vendors said that they have verified from the Shrine Board that their payments have been released to the District Administration but DC and ADC are saying something and harassing them.
They appealed the DC Jammu to immediately release their pending payment otherwise they will continue with their protest.
