JAMMU, Apr 12: A delegation of the Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF), Jammu, led by its president Neeraj Anand, today submitted a detailed memorandum to Shantmanu, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education & IT Department, Jammu & Kashmir, at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The memorandum highlighted the urgent need for dedicated educational and training programs tailored to the requirements of trade and industry in the Union Territory. Key suggestions included mapping of existing resources, establishing boarding schools under PPP model, promotion of private universities with industry-focused courses, enhancement of IT infrastructure, and fostering academia-industry collaboration.
Shantmanu gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that all the issues raised would be duly considered. He acknowledged his prior understanding of the region’s challenges and opportunities.
The following members those who were present in the meeting included- Raman Gupta, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Tusshar Mahajan , Dinesh Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Sachin Gupta and Rahul Sharma.
The Chamber expressed its optimism that with proactive policy support, J&K can emerge as a hub of skilled manpower, trade, and innovation in the coming years.
