CUJ celebrates Int’l Day of Girl Child

JAMMU, Oct 11: The Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), today celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with great pride.
The celebration event brought together various students, scholars, and faculty members to underscore the significance of education for every girl child.
During the celebration event, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof Sanjeev Jain took a moment to honour every female student in the Department by presenting them with a pen, symbolizing the “power of the pen.”
Prof Jain highlighted the increasing presence of girls in leadership roles and encouraged them to understand their pivotal role in shaping the future of Bharat.
Earlier, Prof Asit Mantry, the Head of the Department, shared profound thoughts about the revered status of the women in Bhartiya culture and paid tribute to the potential, strength, and accomplishments of the girls worldwide.
He reiterated that the celebration was a testament to the Department’s commitment to gender equality by empowering its female students.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof Ritu Bakshi; Prof JN Baliya, Dr Kiran, Dr Aman, Dr Ravi Vanguri, Dr Yad Ram, Dr Arvind, Dr Aarushi, Dr Anil, and Dr Shivali, attended the programme that was organised by the Co-Curricular Activities Committee of the college.
