JAMMU, Feb 27: Prof V Sridharan, Head, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences, Central University of Jammu, has been admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in February 2024.
Prof Sridharan is a Synthetic Organic Chemist, who is working on the development of novel multi-bond forming reactions including nucleopalladation-initiated cascade reactions to access complex carbo- and heterocyclic compounds of biological relevance and exploring the mechanistic aspects of these transformations.
Prof. Sridharan has received several research projects from funding agencies including DST, SERB, CSIR, DRDO and JKST&IC and published his research results in over 120 well-reputed international journals of high-impact. The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences has recently received DST-FIST grant of Rs 2.43 cores, where Prof Sridharan was the Coordinator of the project.
