JAMMU, Dec 17: Two recently recruited faculty members in the Central University of Jammu have received research grant from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt of India, New Delhi.
Dr. Deepak Kumar of Department of Plant Science and Dr Pawan Kumar of Department of Nano Science and Materials, received prestigious major research grants from SERB under the Empowerment and Equity Opportunities for Excellence in Science Program – 2016.
Dr. Deepak Kumar who has Ph.D in the area of Plant Biotechnology along with several years of research experience and many publications in peer reviewed international journals was awarded this project to explore the mechanism of Calmodulin protein in Potato.
Dr. Pawan Kumar, who did his Ph.D in the emerging field of Nanotechnology and has postdoctoral training from Hanyang University, South Korea with more than 30 publications in peer reviewed international journals of high impact to his credit, was awarded this project to develop novel sensing technique for Organic Pesticides using porous nanomaterials.
