CUJ holds Induction Prog

JAMMU, Aug 8: The Induction Programme of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) for the current academic session was held at the Temporary Academic Block-II (TAB-II) of the University, at Sainik Colony extension.
Dr SS Bloeria, Vice-Chancellor, was the chief guest, who inaugurated the Induction Programme in presence of students, faculty and administrative officers of the university.
Addressing the gathering Dr Bloeria mentioned that during last year, with its inception in August 2011, the university had started its first academic session with Post Graduate programmes in three disciplines viz Applied Mathematics, Economics, English and Comparative Literature and M Phil in English at Temporary Academic Block-I (TAB-I) of the University.
This year the university has further expanded its academic activity with the induction of five more post-graduate programmes in the discipline of M Sc, Computer Science, M Sc Environmental Science, M Ed (Master of Education), MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) and MBA (Human Resource Management). It also intends to start at least five integrated M Phil/PhD programmes in the coming months, he said adding that the admissions to these courses have been made through Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
The Induction Programme held in the Library hall of TAB-II, started with couple of cultural performances by renowned local artists Purduman Singh and Sham Sajan.
