JAMMU, Sept 9: Central University of Jammu and PrevestDenpro Limited Bari Brahamana joined hands to empower research and development activities through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
PrevestDenpro, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of dental products has shown a solicitous gesture towards the research and development sector by donating amount of Rs 4, 50,000 to the Central University of Jammu as a part of its CSR initiative.
The event was attended by Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor CUJ; Namrata Modi, Director and CFO PrevestDenpro Limited; Dr Yashwant Singh, Registrar CUJ; Dr S Sai Kalyan, Director Research and Academics, PrevestDenPro Limited and Dr Vinay Kumar , Dr Suram Singh and Dr Pawan Kumar, from the Dept of Nanoscience & Materials, CUJ.
On this occasion, Namrata Modi expressed that these kind of academia-industry collaborations help both entities to sustain growth in their areas and create an effective innovation ecosystem, especially through the strategic use of CSR funds. These CSR spending will go a long way in promoting the Government’s flagship projects like Startup India, Skill India and thereby help building a stronger society.
Prof Sanjeev Jain thanked the officials of PrevestDenpro Limited for providing the CSR fund to the University and assured that the funds will be utilized for uplifting the R&D activities of the University.
