JAMMU, Dec 23: The Academic Council of Central University Jammu has resolved opening of new Schools and Departments besides starting part time Ph.D and Integrated M.Phil.-Ph.D Programme by the University during the Academic Session 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Decisions in this regard were taken during the 5th meeting of the Academic Council, held yesterday under the chairmanship of Incharge Vice Chancellor, Prof Devanand and attended by Prof A Rashid Trag, Prof Riyaz Punjabi, Prof R N K Bamezai, Prof R J Hans Gill, Dr M P Narayanan, Prof Chandramouli Upadhyay, Prof Champa Sharma, Prof Pothini Krishna Prasad, Prof P V Sivapullaiah, Prof H N Jagannatha Reddy, Dr Palpu Pushpaganandan, Dr Tondup Tsewang, Prof Ajay Kumar Mittal and Prof Chetan Singh.
The Vice Chancellor briefed about the various academic and administrative initiatives taken by the University since the last meeting of the Academic Council.
