JAMMU, Mar 15: An Internship cum Placement Drive for students of the Mass Communication Department organized by the training and placement office, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) was held here today.
The drive held under the esteemed guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain was organized in collaboration with the JK Media group and was aimed to equip students with industry insights and career prospects in the dynamic field of media.
The drive offered students an opportunity to understand the evolving landscape of the media industry.
The recruitment team from JK Media, led by HR Manager Akshay, along with his team members Sugam Andotra and Abhishek, interacted with the students and conducted interviews based on industry-specific hiring parameters.
Apart from the recruitment process, the event facilitated knowledge exchange on the transformation of the media sector, covering key aspects of sales, marketing and digital media strategies.
This initiative not only provided placement opportunities but also broadened the students’ perspectives on the industry’s growth and demands.
Dr Abhay, Head of the Mass Communication & New Media Department along with faculty members Dr Manish and Dr Umesh extended their support and guidance to the students.
Viraj Magotra, Training & Placement Officer, encouraged the students to actively participate in such placement drives and emphasized the importance of leveraging campus recruitment opportunities for a strong career foundation.
