JAMMU, Jan 16: Swami Vivekananda Chair of Central University Jammu (CUJ) organized national seminar on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The inaugural session of the national seminar on the topic ‘Emergence of New India: Philosophy and Teaching of Swami Vivekananda’ was presided over by Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor CUJ
The chief guest of the event was Bhagwan Lal Sahani, Chairman, NCBC while Ashutosh Bhatnagar, Director, JKSC, New Delhi along with Swami Brahmachari Vivek of Ram Krishan Mission Jammu were the special guests.
Prof Bhagwan Sahni sought to prove the superiority of Indian culture in comparison to Western culture by throwing light on the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.
Ashutosh Bhatnagar appreciated steps taken by the incumbent Vice-Chancellor for development of campus and introductions of new courses.
Assistant Dean Students Welfare Dr Ajay Kumar Singh assured the pledge of Swachh Bharat Mission during the seminar. The program was successfully conducted by Dr Vandana Sharma of the Department of Hindi and other Indian Languages and while the vote of thanks was given by Professor Rasal Singh. On this occasion, professors, scholars and students of all departments of the university were present.
