CUJ starts coaching classes for KAS aspirants

JAMMU, Sept 15: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) started special coaching programme for those aspirants of combined competitive services (KAS/IAS) examinations at its Temporary Academic Block (TAB),  Sainik Colony campus, here today.
Around 180 students with basic eligibility criteria of graduation reported for the first such coaching session. The CUJ was first among a couple of institutions (CUs) taking the initiative to guide the students to aspire for the Civil Services.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, Prof Ashok Aima inaugurated the first coaching session and encouragement to the target students. Speaking to the target students, he said that CUJ initiative would go a long way  to help those under privileged students of J&K who otherwise could not appear in civil services competitive examinations due to lack of opportunities.  Prof Aima assured the student that CUJ would provide them all facilities like transportation, library and best resource persons for coaching.
Earlier, convenor of the coaching programme and Incharage Yoga Centre of CUJ, Dr DL Choudhary briefed the students about the initiative.
Also present were Prof Lokesh Verma, Prof Deepshikha Kotwal, Prof R L Bhat and other officers of the university.
