CUK Court meeting discusses varsity affairs

SRINAGAR, Dec 9: The second Court meeting of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) was held here today with varsity Chancellor, Dr Srikumar Banerjee in chair.
The meeting confirmed the Minutes of the Ist Court meeting held on 22.06.2013 and action taken in this regard were also noted. Annual Report 2013-14 and Annual Accounts 2013-14 were taken up and comments solicited from members.
The preliminary strategic planning framework document for the university for the next ten years was discussed threadbare and many suggestions were made to make it as a time bound, but dynamic exercise. The future plans of the University in terms of infrastructure, academics and students activity, placement avenues, vocational training among others were discussed in detail.

Prof Khursheed I Andrabi, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof R D Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof S K Jain, VC of SMVDU, Prof I A Hamal, VC BGSBU, Prof Devanand, VC of Central University Jammu and Prof M Aslam, Dean School of Languages were special invites for the meeting.
Registrar and members secretary of the Court, Prof M Afzal Zargar made a detailed power point presentation on the Master Plan and Pre-Engineering Buildings before the Court members.
Controller of Examination/Finance Officer, Dr N A Gilkar, presented the vote of thanks.
