GANDERBAL, June 8: Central University of Kashmir Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir today chaired the meeting of the Planning and Monitoring Board (PMB) and meeting of the University Building Committee (UBC) through both online and offline mode at varsity’s Green Campus.
Registrar, Prof Fayaz Ahmad Nika, Controller of Examinations, Prof Parveen Pandit, Deans of Schools, other senior functionaries from the university and external experts from various fields were also present in the meetings.
Addressing the participants in both Planning and Monitoring Board and UBC, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir said that the university is planning to video graph the lectures of faculty members, which would be later shared with students through different social media platforms. He said the university has resumed its functioning as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
He said the process for admission to the programmes offered by the CUK and its other sister universities has already been initiated and the university has received an overwhelming response from the students aspiring to get admission in the varsity. He said the university is launching new Post Graduate programmes including Botany, Chemistry and Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies.
Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir said that in order to meet the classroom/office accommodation for various Teaching/Non-Teaching Departments, the University executed various works including construction of around 40 classrooms and 20 Office Chambers which are being used by the departments to ensure teaching learning activities.
Earlier, Registrar, Prof Fayaz Ahmad Nika presented the agenda in both meetings which invoked threadbare discussion on different business items. A number of resolutions were passed in both meetings.
