NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asserted that those behind the September 18 attack on an army camp at Uri will definitely get punished.
Sharing his thoughts on monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, Mr Modi started with saluting those 18 soldiers who were martyred during the attack.
“We have lost our 18 brave soldiers in a terrorist attack in Uri. I salute and pay my tributes to all these bravehearts,” he said.
He said this is not just a loss to the families of the martyred soldiers but a loss to the whole nation.
The Prime Minister’s tough response comes a day after he blasted Pakistan for exporting terrorism to the entire world and predicted that people of Pakistan will one day certainly revolt against their leaders.
Turning to people of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Modi said gradually people of Kashmir have started identifying anti-national elements and they have started distancing themselves from such forces.
He gave the example of a youth named Harshvardhan, who was disturbed by the Uri attack, pledged to study for three more hours daily and be a good citizen. (agencies)
