Cultural evening under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ held at SMVDU

KATRA, Dec 15: A cultural evening under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ mission was held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, here today.
‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ is a mission for cultural exchange among various States and Union Territories of India launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The State of Jammu & Kashmir is paired with the State of Tamil Nadu. More than 100 students of Tamil Nadu through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) participated in the event.
Dr V K Tripathi president BCA presented   welcome address.    S S. Kashyap, Deputy Director NYKS, Sajjad Ali Shah, District Youth Coordinator NYKS and Bimlesh Sharma from NYKS were the guests.  S S Kashyap, in his address, highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and the objective of the mission.
Rishab Raina, Khushboo Zulfi and team presented Stage Drama, Raghav Gupta and team presented vocal performance, Anmol and team presented Western Vocal, Ashutosh Khajuria and group presented Bhangra and Soumi Das mesmerized the audience with classical solo dance performance.   The students from NYKS also presented cultural items. The event was witnessed by a number of faculty, staff, students and members from the families.
Dr Yugal Khajuria, Dean of Students, Dr Rakesh Kumar vice president BCA, Rajiv Atri, president Board of Sports Activities, Samir Vohra and   Gaurav Jamwal were also present on the occasion.
