KARGIL, Mar 20: District Police Kargil today organised cultural programme at Auditorium Hall under the theme ‘Kargili Rpaho’.
Large number of people including theatre loving local people and many others of all the age groups attended the function.
The cultural programme was inaugurated by Dr. Vinod Kumar SP Kargil. The programme started with recitation of poems by well known poets in Kargil.
It was followed by songs from young and talented singers who mesmerised audience by their melodious voices. The last part of the cultural programme was creative presentation of idea of communal harmony through a skit by Ranthak Theatre Group.
In his address, Dr. Vinod Kumar cordially welcomed the gathering. He said that the aim of the programmes is to bridge the gap between police and public and to create strong bond through community policing.
He informed audience that District Police Kargil will do its best to ensure such programmes are organised in future also to provide platform for artists to showcase their talent.
Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP Kargil presented vote of thanks which was followed by presentation of cash rewards to the participants.
Among others Khalid Amin Additional SP Kargil, Ali Tak Assistant Director Information,Kargil and other officers from District Police Kargil were also present.
