JAMMU, Dec 15: Cultural programme “Synergy 2019” celebrated with full zeal by the MBBS students of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina was the chief guest on the occasion. Students presented various musical and dance items; however, the fashion show and Bhangra presented by the medical students was the main attraction of the day. Dr Sunanda and various other senior faculty members also shake their legs while Bhangra was presented by the students.
Earlier, inaugurating the programme, Dr Sunanda said that cultural expression can be considered as heritage of society and holding such cultural programme is very important for the overall development of personality of medical students during their journey of learning in a medical school, as it will not only help them to ease out from day to day stress and workload but also share each other’s specific regional or cultural heritage.
The function was also attended by Dr Shashi Sudan, HoD Microbiology and Chairperson Cultural committee, besides cultural committee members, Dr Rachna Mangotra, Dr Rachna Sabharwal, Dr Sapna Gupta, Dr Satish Parihar and others.
Amit Sharma, Administrator GMC & AH, Medical Superintendents of all hospitals, Personal Officer, Administrative Officer, various senior faculty members, senior residents, postgraduate students and all MBBS students also attended the programme.
