Curb drug menace with firmness: Munish to Govt

JAMMU, Aug 18: Senior BJP leader and former general secretary of party, Munish Sharma has stressed upon the LG administration to be hard against drug trade and eliminate the menace of this social evil with firm stroke.
He said that there are repeated reports that the drug trade is causing a challenge to the society and need to be checked by all means without any leniency.
Munish Sharma made this appeal to the LG administration during his interaction with a group of youth in Resham Ghar area of Jammu West Assembly segment. The BJP senior leader said that the youth in particular fall prey to the drugs, which is not good for them, their families, the society and the nation. He said that while the Government and its agencies are duty bound to adopt tough strategy against the flourishing of drug trade, the youth too has a responsibility to be well aware of the consequences of becoming drug addicts and educate the others to not get inclined to it.
Munish Sharma said that youth in future of the nation and to progress in life they should prevent themselves from evil habits and devote their time and energy towards sports and social activities. He said that the elders in the families and the teachers too should come forward to educate the youth about the harmful effects of drugs.
On this occasion, the youth present, took a pledge to refrain from the drugs and inspire the others also to remain away from social evils.
