SRINAGAR : Curfew, imposed on July 19 in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley as a precautionary measure after the alleged killing of four people and injuring several others by the BSF, was lifted today.
However, security forces and state police personnel will remain deployed in sensitive zones, an official spokesperson said.
Life this morning remained affected on the last day of the three-day general strike called by breakaway Hurriyat Conference in protest against the killings.
He said district administration in the Valley has been authorised to take any preventive measure at local level in view of the prevailing situation there.
