The BSF jawans conducted searches in the area with the onset of dawn and recovered Rs 4.96 lakh worth fake Indian currency, one Chinese pistol, one magazine with ammunition and two SIM cards of Pakistan’s company Zong.
Sources said the currency, arms and ammunition were either meant for the militants or for trans-border smugglers.
They added that some couriers might have to pick up the consignment but they didn’t turn up due to alertness displayed by the BSF.
