CVC to combat corruption

Sir,
The recent report by the CVC highlighting 34 instances of non-compliance is alarming. It reflects the unwillingness of various Government departments to take stringent action against corrupt officials, even when clear evidence is presented.
This undermines the integrity of our governance and weakens the fight against corruption.
Instances like those involving the Ministry of Coal, SBI, and Delhi Jal Board, where serious irregularities were downplayed, are particularly concerning.
If senior officials can escape with minor penalties, it sends a dangerous message, fostering a culture of impunity.
To restore public trust, the Government must ensure strict, adherence to the CVC’s recommendations. Empowering the CVC and holding non-complaint agencies accountable is crucial.
This is not just about individual cases but about the integrity of our entire system.
