JAMMU, Oct 19: Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) has insisted the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and other allied department to ensure the quality of milk, milk products and their regular supply in view of the forthcoming festive season.
This was stated by Vikram Gour during Government’s constituted “Price Review Committee” (PRC) meeting held in the office of Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD). The meeting was attended by the office bearers of Doodhi Gujjar Union, milk retail sellers, Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) and Consumer Protection Organization (CPO) office bearers, officials from JMC, Legal Metrology and CAPD.
During the meet, the rates of milk and milk products were substantially enhanced, which were opposed by CWA and CPO.
Gour pointed out that although the PRC is agreeing to steeply enhance the prices the milk vendors will not supply the quality products. On this, Doodhi Gujjar Union assured that they will maintain the quality.
