REASI, Nov 14: Swift action by Cyber Cell of District Police Reasi helped two victims of investment scam to get back their defrauded money amounting to Rs 3,61,200.
The two victims were refunded Rs 2,72, 400/- and Rs 88,800/- respectively amounting to total of Rs 3,61,200/- which they had lost to the fraudsters through hoax investment schemes.
District Police Reasi has reiterated its appeal to the general public to remain vigilant and not fall prey to investment related schemes promising lucrative returns through various investment apps/links and promptly report any suspicious online activity to the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930 or register financial fraud at www.cybercrime.gov.in
District Police Reasi has also appealed public not to fall prey to “Digital Arrest Scams’ which are creating panic and looting innocent people resulting into losing of their hard earned money.
