Cyber Cell Jammu recovers over Rs 5.27 lakh in online fraud cases

JAMMU, Dec 17: The Cyber Cell of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu district has successfully recovered Rs 5, 27, 321 from fraudsters involved in separate online scams.
A Cyber Cell official said that the recovery followed investigations into multiple complaints of online trading and investment frauds, where victims were deceived by criminals using various tactics.
According to him, in two of the cases, complainants had invested money in online trading platforms, while in the other two, victims were tricked through fake SMS messages claiming their accounts had been credited.
After receiving these complaints, he said, the Cyber Cell took swift action, launching a thorough investigation.
With the use of advanced technology with expert skills, the Cyber Cell recovered the lost amount of Rs 5, 27, 321 during the investigation in a short period, he said.
