JAMMU, Oct 9: The Cyber Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in Jammu district claimed to have recovered Rs 2.14 lakh from an online fraudster.
A Cyber Cell official said that the fraudster had deceived several people in the past by adopting different tactics to extract money from them.
He said after a complainant approached the Cyber Cell, claiming he was also fraudulently cheated by the fraudster, a dedicated team of the cell started immediate investigation and recovered the lost amount of Rs 2,14,000 from the cheater.
