DODA, Nov 23: Cybercrime Investigation Unit of District Police Doda claimed to have successfully solved and recovered online defrauded money amounting more than Rs 1.5 lakh.
While giving details, Police said that several complaints were lodged by complaints of fraud following which CCIU team, exhibited hectic efforts and advanced technical skills, successfully recovered defrauded money amounting Rs 1,58,296/-.
It is worthwhile to mention here that CCIU Doda since its establishment has successfully recovered defrauded money amounting Rs 27,84,984 /- so far.
SP Doda Sandeep Mehta has appealed the general public to remain extra vigilant and report promptly to the National Helpline number 1930 or lodge cyber complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in or CCIU Unit Doda, in case any cheat and fraud is committed with them by the online fraudsters/cheaters for swift and timely action.
