UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: Cyber Cell of District Police Udhampur has successfully solved a case and recovered money amounting to Rs 40,000 of Vishali Devi of Gatyal Dhanu, Udhampur.
According to Police, the complainant received a call from an unknown person and she transferred an amount of Rs 40000 to a wrong account by mistake through Paytm.
During the investigation, the Cyber Cell Udhampur, exhibited hectic efforts which ultimately led to the successful recovery of the amount of Rs 40,000.
SSP Udhampur Joginder Singh has appealed to the general public to remain extra vigilant and report promptly to the National Helpline number 1930 or Cyber Cell DPO Udhampur helpline number 01992358591 in case of any fraud committed to them. He also encouraged citizens to lodge cyber complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in. and www.ceir.gov.in for lost/ stolen Mobile phones.
