Cyber Cell recovers Rs 1,09,000

JAMMU, July 2: The Cyber Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) today recovered Rs 1, 09, 000 from a fraudster.
A Cyber Cell official said that a complaint was received from an individual, who claimed that she was cheated after she and her colleagues booked three vehicles from a “travel agent” for 8 days tour to visit Kashmir.
Quoting the complainant, the Cyber Cell official said that the person claiming to be travel agent put his phone on switch off mode after receiving the payment.
On receipt of the complaint, he said the Cyber Cell of the DPO Jammu acted swiftly and recovered Rs 1,09,000 from the fraudster.
Further investigation into the case is underway, he said.
