Cyber Cell solves three cases

JAMMU, May 28: The Cyber Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed it has solved three separate cases of online fraud.
A Cyber Police official said that in one of the cases, the complainant lost his phone while travelling in a train. After reaching home, he realised that someone has withdrawn Rs 33,333 from his account.
In another case, the complainant saw a post on Telegram about investment. Accordingly, he invested Rs 71,800 and later got to know that the scheme was a fraud.
Another complainant received a call from a fraudster posing as a Police Officer who asked for Rs 31000 from the victim. After the victim sent the amount, the complainant’s number was blocked.
During swift investigation of all the cases, the Cyber Cell of the Police has successfully put on hold an amount of Rs 1, 06,533 out of the total 1, 36,133.
Further investigation in all the cases is underway.
