Cyber Police produces chargesheet against accused in Rs 34 lakhs online fraud case

JAMMU, Aug 25: Cyber Police Jammu has filed chargesheet against accused in Rs 34 lakhs online cyber pension fraud case in time bound manner.
According to SP Cyber Cell Naresh Singh, on February 20 this year, a written complaint was lodged by a person namely Inderpal Singh that he was defrauded by some unknown fraudsters who pretended themselves as employees of Insurance Company and allured the complainant by offering him to buy units of Canadian pension funds.
Subsequently, they convinced the complainant and complainant got trapped in luring offer and lost Rs lakhs in multiple transactions from different banks.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 10/2021 was registered at Cyber Police Station Jammu, SP said, adding that during the course of investigation, Investigating Officer with the help of technical evidences and leads succeeded in identifying and locating the accused involved in the fraud and subsequently arrested her on 28.06-2021 from Sahnewal Ludhiana. The arrested accused is presently in judicial custody, SP Naresh Singh informed, adding that the accused arrested is identified as Daljit Kour, wife of Shingara Singh, a resident of Sahnewal Ludhiana.
“The chargesheet is produced by Inspector Vikram Sharma of Cyber Police Station”, SP Naresh Singh, adding that further Investigation is still going on into the case to nab other associate and ascertain involvement in other cyber fraud cases.
